Dr. Peter Hotez, M.D., Ph.D., is the Dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and Co-Director of the Texas Children's Hospital Center for Vaccine Development. The title of his presentation was “Global Vaccinations and ‘The Antipoverty Vaccines:’ Science vs. Antiscience.”
Dr. Hotez is Dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine and Professor of Pediatrics and Molecular Virology & Microbiology at Baylor College of Medicine and Professor at Baylor University. Dr. Hotez led efforts to provide a low-cost recombinant protein COVID vaccine for global health, resulting in emergency use authorization in India. He is a sought-after expert on infectious disease and has given interviews to multiple news media organizations.
